United States Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit search and rescue organization based in Las Vegas, NV. This all-volunteer organization is charged with aerial, ground-based, and open water search and rescue for rural areas, national parks, and open water areas. The organization has transitioned from an LLC to a Non-Profit organization. This transition has placed board-required staff procedures for the recruitment of staff officers.
Fundraising Officer (Intern), Tier III, Rescue Service Support
The fundraising officer is responsible for producing fundraising revenue. This internship period is to assess the candidate’s ability to generate donations within the laws governing nonprofit solicitation and fundraising, as well as best practices guidelines set forth by the United States Rescue Board of Directors.
Beyond the six month internship period, successful interns will receive offers for a performance-based contract, which will renew every six months, should the applicant continue to meet performance goals. Pay for this position beyond internship is up to $20.00 per hour, 40 hours per week, plus performance bonuses. This position receives a Form 1099 and is an independent contractor position.
The ideal candidate(s) will possess:
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
- Ability to complete tasks within a reasonable timeframe with little supervision
- Personable, able to provide interact with potential donors in a positive and respectful way
Requirements:
- Microsoft Word Proficiency (Proficient to Expert Level)
- Microsoft Excel Proficiency (Proficient to Expert Level)
- 10 Hours Per Week Availability, Minimum
- Pass an Extensive Background Check (Local, State, and Federal)

The most qualified candidate will be required to complete induction educational requirements prior to earning organizational grade. The authorized initial grade for the Fundraising Officer is Captain.
